crusoe is quite the mysterious dog. he's very aloof and to himself, leading to many questions surrounding hushed individuals who are simply to afraid to ask about him. they are rightful to be afraid, however, as crusoe can be quite dangerous if you don't play your cards right around him. as he's viciously aggressive, it's always best to submit to him. despite his cruel recklessness, crusoe isn't without his charm and prefers to mask his terrifying demeanor with it. this strange dog can actually be quite alluring and maybe even seductive, the way he draws others in. with a chivalrous nature, crusoe portrays himself as a gentle and humble leader. those who know him personally, however, would beg to differ. if he's not displaying himself in a professional nature, crusoe is actually quite silent without much to say. but it's good to note that he is quieter around those he prefers the company of. crusoe is also incredibly knowledgeable and strategic, sure to find the best ways around or into things, making him a good leader. this mutt has also found that he likes his own gambling setup, and often bets which dog will win or lose a fight... for fun.

crusoe was born with a screw loose. with his two siblings on a small farm, quite a distance from the nearest town, they were raised a little rougher than pets. while his other siblings romped and played around, crusoe would observe the butcher and wouldn't flee at the sound of gunshots. though his father was absent, his mother showed hidden concern for him, but couldn't pay too much attention as she was constantly doing her job as a flock guardian.

crusoe himself was the only one to be kept by the farmer, due to his stoic nature. he figured he could provide as a stern flock guardian as well, in turn to his mother. it also was a factor that he was a large puppy. however, a friend of the farmer had offered a deal that he couldn't refuse for crusoe, and crusoe was sold off to him.

it was perhaps one of the best decisions. crusoe and his new human hit it off and crusoe became very attached to the man. crusoe learned that he was born in a family of priests and he used this as a side occupation to the local church. the brown mutt was given a green lace and a cross around his neck. the man's main job was being a train conductor. crusoe would spend his time riding in the first car with the man. either that, or he'd get his runs in by running alongside of the train the whole way to the next stop, building up muscle and leading to a very powerful dog. it was also a factor in his strength that he could pull smaller carts of coal for the train for a few miles just by himself.

through the span of a few years in a bustling town, crusoe had become quite familiar with its dogs. and crusoe didn't take kindly to other dogs at first. he was quite aggressive with them, and as a large dog, he was quick to throw them in their place. it was soon that the dogs of the town had become fearful of crusoe and would avoid him at all costs. still, crusoe couldn't quite understand why.

it was then that tragedy was to strike in the mahogany mutt's life. as his man was older, it was easy to succumb to the smoke of a church that was to be burned down. as crusoe heard of this, the dog went on a rage, finding a local pet and slaughtering him. the bloodstained mutt then decided to leave the town, boarding an open car train on the opposite side of town, howling to mourn his loss. crusoe knew he could never bond with anyone quite like that again as those days were over for him.

when the grief stricken mongrel had evacuated the train, another human had found him when he entered a small town. without giving the dog much of an option, he shoved the dog into a kennel once they reached the man's basement. it was then that crusoe was used as a fighting dog for about a month's time - and he was doing well. the muscular dog rose to the top, bearing many scars underneath his thick fur. fortunately though, he was able to break loose one day as his kennel latch was forgotten to be closed. with newfound trained strength, crusoe viewed this as more of a benefit rather than a curse of brutally taking other dogs' lives. he was able to leave through a hollowed out wooden board. he also freed the other dogs there, if they promised to be in debt to him. from this, sparked an idea in him as he boarded a train farther away.

upon reaching a large western town, crusoe figured he'd try to learn the ropes of living like a stray. with a new reputation, crusoe put on a friendly face for once, allying other dogs to be on his side. if anyone tried to oppose him, he'd threaten their throats and would have them do favors for him. over time, crusoe would win in a dictatorship over town after town, creating quite the name for himself. crusoe wasn't just a coldhearted sovereign, however. he would instruct each dog to help each other in one way or another and changed them into being more giving to other strays. he was also sure to remain gentle to most females, even offering to help raise some of their pups (which most of the time was refused, as the mothers were still quite intimidated by crusoe and were untrusting that he offered pure intentions). the dog became known as "the albatross" because of how tall he was.
crusoe also provided entertainment to the towns, arranging fights between dogs and ways that dogs could bet things. for his labors and intimidation, crusoe was considered the leading dog of almost every town he went to.

whether it be boarding trains or observing fights that he does in his time, crusoe is very interested in what the world has to offer him.

crusoe is currently enjoying the company of harp, a young mutt who assists him - as many others have done - in exchange for her life. he rescued her from a pile of debris crushing her, and now she owes him for this. but at least it's temporary... right?

-crusoe would sell you to satan for one corn chip.
-instead of his fangs and claws, crusoe much prefers fighting with objects. he likes to swing things like pipes around in his jaws in order to bash and break.
-crusoe was partnered and assumed to be strongly bonded with a black/white siberian husky named jack. to prove to a town that he would do anything for them, he threw jack off of a bridge and into a rushing river. it's unknown if jack is alive or not.
-crusoe is affiliated and on good terms with the canine cult leader, cain. he has yet to find out that harp is his daughter, and isn't sure why he's so drawn to her at the moment.
-it's hard for crusoe to develop romantic feelings, but it is certainly possible. he just hasn't met the right dog yet.
-crusoe is still devastated over the loss of his owner.
-crusoe loves puppies and is, funnily enough, very gentle with them.
-crusoe views all dogs as equals - except small things like chihuahuas. he considers those "baits".
-crusoe is gentle with humans, but they note that he is very off putting.
-crusoe can go for very long periods of time without food or water. he was able to adapt to this after traveling through many empty and wide open spaces. sometimes, he just doesn't think about eating as well... but he's not against stuffing his face if something is offered to him.
-crusoe is pansexual/panromantic. he's also monogamous.
-his voice claim is sean bean, "martin" from the elder scrolls vi: oblivion.
