Backstory:
A Shifter to a quiet clan that tended to keep to themselves she found herself out of the comforts of home as the Silver Flame tore through the land. Eventually separated from her family because of an explosion where she'd nearly lost her life. Coming to in an unfamiliar ward with a Goblin tending to her. Before much else could be discussed the chimes of her past had her running for her life. The Goblin, Toast, following her as the duo became enemies of the state. Finding sanctuary within the d'Lyrandar house. Thanks to a series of fortunate events they were made guards, and for 4 years helped guard the Lady Ezra [d'Lyrandar leader on their island stronghold]. It was during those 4 years that the two grew close, shared aspects of themselves, and lived somewhat happily for a time. Then came their pardon from the Queen of Aundair; their freedom. Only to find themselves working for Lady E as one of a small group meant to unravel the mysteries of the d'Lyrandar's problems. Now, traveling with several others who she has deemed her friends, Saffryn hopes to fulfill the will of the kind and generous Lady E and find her long lost family along the way.
Personality:
Quite carefree and silly, Saffryn doesn't seem to take things too seriously. She is very food motivated. Childish and immature, she doesn't appear to have a care in the world. Though that relaxed nature tends to make way for a more focused, determined, and unyielding one when her friends are in danger.
Relationships:
Toast: A Goblin she met 4 years ago and has been connected at the hip of since they rescued her from a battlefield and followed her into the unknown. She cares deeply for Toast and their family, even if she thinks their parents dislike her for getting them into trouble. They are two peas in a pod; sharing that single brain cell happily.
Nathaniel: A Khorvaire of the d'Lyrandar house. A disgraced ship captain now turned friend he has a very particular way of doing things. He's very used to throwing his name and the weight it holds around in the world. She thinks he means well though, and while he has his accidents, who doesn't. All things considered he's loyal, kind, and quite smart. Always helpful, especially when she's doubting herself.
Corra: A Halfling of the Talenta Plains and a member of house d'Ghallanda. She can turn into tiny dinosaurs and knows quite a lot about the large lizard creatures. Though they haven't spoken much she enjoys Corra's company. They also seem to share quite a few things in common regarding what they believe in and how they communicate with spirits of the world around them. She's been a pleasant person to be around and a nice anchor when Toast isn't around.
Aegis: A Warforged that traveled with Corra before the group became a group. He is very quiet and tends to keep to himself. A very literal individual who analyzes things before acting or speaking on them. While she doesn't entirely understand him sometimes she does like him. Very interested in helping him sort of come out of his shell, even if he doesn't want to. She wants to talk to him more, get to know what makes him tick... He seems to like to tinker so maybe talking while he's doing that would yield more.
