She’s never been further than her local market, and is about to get a lot more than she asked for when she said she wanted to see the world

(AU 2: [Lore is a caste system based on eye color] After decades of forced servitude to the kingdom, aria and her people are dying off. They’re sick, dying from stress, and giving up hope. The rest of the country isn’t much better off. The elves with the gray eyes have been leading the world into the ground. After a riot in her village that led to the military killing many, including her father, she realizes change is necessary for the future.

[jay] after decades of a tyrannical rule, the kingdoms next generation of royalty is preparing to take charge. Jay is the first in line but doesn’t want to follow in his fathers and grandfathers steps. His mother taught him love and mercy, but died because of it. Taking the crown also means carrying on the bloodline with his sister, who is truly viscous to her core. Rejecting the crown is treason which would be his death. Can he carry on the crown and be a figurehead for his father, or leave it all and start a new life?)
