PROCEDURE

Do not interfere. Do not indulge. Do not look directly at her. Make sure you take proper precautions for her hazard type. Elias is non-hostile in many cases - if she is hostile, █████ ███████.

DESCRIPTION

Elias is formally classified as a second-class Fallen Kingdom entity (Category 42, Code 250). She does not pose an immediate threat. The organization has given her the ability to act as a medic, within the bounds defined by Document 42250-01-█.

Due to her anomalous nature, she freely subverts human biology in pursuit of her own inscrutable goals. While this ability allows Elias to perform incredible medical feats, she has little regard for the distress of patients in her care. Following Incident Report █-██-██, Document 42250-01-█ was amended to disallow Elias from the general infirmary floor.

Similar to other Fallen Kingdom entities, Elias is highly prideful and tempermental in regards to perceived slights. She often retaliates against negative statements about her medical ability or actions. This extends to Agent ███████.

HISTORY

ERROR: ███ █████ (Document unable to be retrieved.)

She sat at his beside and wondered what the point of any of it was. That the King and the Queen decided to fight a war, and deemed it fit that her Soldier die for it. He'd come back to her, of course. But the cycle demanded he die first. It was a miserable sort of thing.

He stirred briefly during her midnight vigil, and she soothed him away with her many legs. Spindly in the dark, she sung him a song of the insects crawling in the earth. She sighed over her Soldier and gently touched him, careful not to prick him in his many wounds. Briefly, she rose during her melody, to wring out the cold-cloth and place it over the cavern of his eyes.

Eventually, day broke over the battlefield once more, and the Medic was called to attend the fallen. Yet her Soldier had not woken, and she refused as the bodies fell and bloated. Why hover as a buzzard over a corpse? She realized the futility of the cycle. It was wrong, she thought.

She looked upon it and did not know how to fix it. The duplicitous nature of the Court, she could not make sincere. The bloodthirst of the Army, she could not make peaceful. The hopelessness of her Soldier, she could not make right again. She could only sing to him in his suffering, and place the cold-cloth once more.

Her inaction, her refusal to make right the wounds of the Kingdom, brought the Judge's long gaze upon her form.

You are the One Who Stitches The Wound, said the Judge. Who are you to step away from the scalpel? Your King demands your service. Your General demands your assistance. Your Soldier yet requires your healing hand. Who are you to deny them?

She laughed in the face of the One Who Holds The Balance. I am the One Who Stitches The Wound and my service is my own to keep. I have no King and I obey no General and the Soldier is mine, not by duty but by heart.

The Judge weighed her heart and found it lacking. The Kingdom has no need for a Medic who does not work in service. Thus it cast her out of the Kingdom, and stripped from her the badges of her station. It did not bay her agony.

When at last she shored up the plates of her carapace, she looked upon the world of Man and saw it was imperfect. And unlike her kin who abandoned their post under the cloak of night, her futile resistance cost her everything. And it tore at her very being, how the world of Man spun on upon fragile gears. She was the Medic, she was meant to put things to rights!

She clicked her mandibles and thought: if only I chew away all these horrible imperfections, then I could fix this world when I could not fix my own.

And so she set out to make it right.

NOTES
  • Favorite food: █████
  • Favorite flower: angel's trumpet
  • Elias is shy about her true appearance
HAZARD INFORMATION
  • Oilslick hair - Elias' dark hair has a shifting iridescence similar to oilslick. It appears out of place in non-anomalous reality, but otherwise induces no physical reaction from bystanders.
  • Visual distortion - Elias possesses a number of insectoid limbs which may emerge from any part of her body. These limbs, no matter the angle they are viewed from, always appear to be emerging from the opposite side of her body. This visual distortion may cause headaches or anxiety if perceived for long periods of time.
  • Unmasked mouth - Insectoid limbs shift in and out of Elias' mouth, and she is able to open her mouth wider than humanly possible. This cognitohazard causes physical injury in onlookers, up to and including rupturing eyes. The danger lies in perceiving the inside of her mouth - and listening to her speak without barriers.
  • Trueform - Her true form has best been described as imposingly large and serpentine. Some have remarked her form as "unearthly beautiful, akin to decay".
