The wanders of the night

Leader - Brightstar

Deputy - Stormcall

Lead medicine cat - Cricketsong

Medicine cats - Rowanheart

Warriors - Thistlethroat

Apprentices - Bearpaw, Lilypaw

Queens - Mistrunner

EldersĀ - Rootwhisker

Kits - Mothkit, Palekit, Timberkit

The Moonpath Clan started as just Brightstar and Mistrunner and during their travels they picked up outcasts and loners looking for companionship. Brightstar's clan has no territory or base camp, instead they wander through new-leaf to leaf-fall and make a camp for leaf-bare before setting off again. When there are kits the clan will linger in the area until the kits can travel safely. Being wanderers is a part of the old way.

There are 3 main "paths" which they travel that takes a whole year to circle back. By traveling these routes they can ensure some kind of safety as they are somewhat familiar with the area. They usually have at least 3 places to make camp in each route so that they can change camp area if needed e.g. there's a camp area near a river but there's signs of dogs this year so the clan moves to another camp area in an old stone quarry.

Clan codes:

  1. Defend the Clan, even with your life. Your first loyalty is to your Clan. Medicine cats, queens and kits must be protected.
  2. Elders, queens, kits and sick or injured cats must eat first.
  3. No cat can neglect a kit in danger or distress, regardless of their origins.Ā
  4. The deputy will become leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled.
  5. Prey is only to be killed for eating. To waste food is to harm the Clan.
  6. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.Ā
  7. Killing other cats is acceptable if it is in self-defence under threat of death.
  8. Battles must be fought wisely, if a fight can be avoided that is the first course of action.
  9. Cats that wish to join Moonpath Clan are welcome but must abide by our code.
  10. Cats that wish to leave are free to do so and are welcome to return if needed.
  11. To assist other cats and Clans in times of trouble is encouraged. Todays enemy may be tomorrows ally.

These are more rules by which Moonpath Clan abides by, created by Brightstar as a way of protecting their unique way of life. She sees maintaining some kind of friendly relationship with other Clans as in her best interest, as they will be more likely to assist them in times of need or overlook her Clans presence as they do not present themselves as threats. It doesn't always work but Brightstar would rather try than to fight her way through life constantly.

All cats are welcome, unless they negatively impact the Clan. Kitty-pets, loners, ex Clan cats... it all means nothing to Brightstar. Bonds should not be decided by birth place or blood. Cats can keep their original names or ask the leader to give them a new one.

Medicine cats are allowed to take mates in Moonpath Clan. There are also multiple medicine cats for the Clan so that is something where to happen to the lead medicine cat, there would be others still there to help. The lead is the most important medicine cat and holds a high position in the Clan.

Star Walkers

The Star Walkers are the ancestors of Brightstars original clan. They do not believe in the warrior code or Star Clan and have broken away to form their own existence. They typically do not meddle in the lives of the living as "life is for the living and the dead have no place amongst it" and simply watch over the Clan. They will sometimes offer advice to medicine cats or leaders who ask for guidance in times of need. Whether a cat can join the Star Walkers upon death is decided by that cats actions in life; if they have preformed malicious actions or shown that they are ill-intended they are refused entry and often wander only to disappear. Some end up in the Dark Forest.Ā

The Star Walkers do not have abilities to predict the future or see into it, instead when giving advice it is simply from their point of view and experiences. Star Walker cats do not fade like those in Star Clan and can be reincarnated.

Brightstar's clan originally followed these ancestors but eventually stopped believing in them and relied instead on a dynasty system; the position of leader was passed down through the bloodline instead of being appointment by the Walkers. When Brighteyes first started leading her group her ancestors spoke to her in dreams and offered her their support if she agreed to follow the old ways. She agreed and was made a true leader, gaining the name Brightstar. She agreed easily since what they said made sense to her and also as a way to spite her old clan.
