Lyre was Hero's girlfriend, though Hero is now deceased. She truly sees Hero as her "hero", as she was the one who brought Lyre out of her alienation and loneliness, and was the first to show her real love and kindness after so many years. Even now, after Hero's death, Lyre insists on protecting her image, believing that Hero will come back and that their life and love will resume as always.
