"In a world of supposed cruelty, all I wish is for you to have a good nights rest." He says quietly, resting on my shoulder. We both sit there and contemplate the thought.

"Do you HAVE to go each time?" I say, and I feel like I'm back to being that scared little kid cowering from the darkness. And I'm back to being the little fox who could never fight its own battles. And im back to feeling lonely yet not.

"Yes, my love. I have to. It's my job afterall, its how I protect you." He responds as he grows taller, his hands resting on my shoulders as he leans down to bump his forehead on mine. And I feel okay again

• He can have expressions but eyes are never drawn. Just eyebrows and a mouth at most.
