Dusksong stops at nothing when it comes to his personal goals. He is a cat of remarkable ambition and an unwavering belief in his abilities makes him known for his egotistical tendencies. He believed he could achieve anything, and he stopped at nothing to reach his dreams, no matter how self-serving they might have been.
During his self-exile, Dusksong struggled with delusions that blurred the lines between reality and his own idealized dreams. He relished in the idea of a perfect life, one that he was so desperate to achieve since his kithood. He was raised an unstable environment that made him long for just one moment of peace; this getaway from the world presented that moment to him.
He is very protective of the cats close to him, which is a honor as he was a very self-centered cat. He likes to make friends but his poor communication leads him to misunderstandings. This doesn't stop him from trying, though.

Duskkit was born to a rogue and a warrior. His clan didn't like him for his blood but he forced himself into the Clan until they properly accepted him as one of their own. He met Scorchkit, another rogue-blooded cat, and the two became best friends.

He grew close to Dovepaw and the two spent a lot of their time together. Duskheart questioned if he was starting to like her romantically, but pushed those feelings away and focused on being the best friend he could be. Dovefrost started getting busier with Clan business and the two drifted apart.

After Fallowstar's complete change of personality after becoming leader, he feared for his and Scorchsight's safety and urged him to flee CypressClan with him. They were caught and were forced to jump off Storm's Peak into the ocean, where they almost died.

Duskheart's mental state deteriorated and he became consumed by episodes of mania and paranoia. He met Wither, who fascinated him, and the two bonded over their hatred for the new Fallowstar and the two conspired a way to overthrow him and save Cypressclan. He left his old name behind and became Dusksong.

Dusksong met with Wither, Lupinecloud, Ospreyfrost and Dovefrost to figure out how to execute their plan. StarClan sent him and Dovefrost a final vision to settle their plan. Meteorites descended upon CypressClan's jungle and isolated Fallowstar from his clan, and Dusksong threw him in a crater where he was killed.

SONG - the suffix he gave himself after his exile, reflecting the melody of the waves lapping at the shore that could always calm him.

We bonded through us bearing rogue blood... and we've grown so close. The sun and moon, dawn and dusk. He's my greatest friend.
Dusksong met Scorchpool when he was an apprentice. CypressClan had adopted him, but Scorchkit felt so excluded from the Clan because he came from a group of hostile rogues who weren't on friendly terms with Hollystar. Duskpaw approached the kit, hoping to gain a new friend, because the Clan also disliked him for his rogue blood.
Scorchkit thought he was like the others, and would abandon him. But Duskpaw encouraged him to come out of his shell, and the two had become inseperable. Even during their self-exile, the two could not stand arguments and usually apologized almost immediately.
Ever since that day, I've sworn to get every inch of revenge possible on him. Cats like him should never be leader!
Dusksong had used to respect Fallowclaw. As apprentices, he was always friendly and treated every cat in the clan with respect, even if they weren't of CypressClan descent. His sudden switch up after becoming leader shocked him, leading him to think his facade was only to achieve leadership, then rule the Clan through violence and threats.
The Withering proposed the idea of the cat who called himself Fallowstar was an impostor. At first, he denied the possibility, but after days of lurking and spying on Fallowstar, it was easy to see that he was a fraud.
I never knew if I could fully trust it after we met. With the powers it possessed, The Withering could've killed me at any moment, but it showed interest in me and my motives, so I did, too.
The Withering was an odd friend, to say the least. But a relationship between an immortal spirit and a mortal can be strong.
They bonded through their hate for the impostor. Dusksong opened up about his feelings of wanting to eliminate Fallowstar, but The Withering advised him to not be impulsive and to not focus on the negative. Somehow... underneath the shell of this vicious reaper was a caring soul who's reasoning behind its killings was to protect the Clans.
... I miss xem. Xe made my apprentice days better. With how hard xe tried to prove xemself to the Clan, I hope xe knows xyr doing amazing.
Duskpaw and Dovepaw's plan was to conquer the Clans (achieve greatness together). These two were unseperable, but of course they grew up and became distant. He knew xe struggled with self worth, so he always invited xem to do little errands around CypressClan and help around. Duskheart wished he could spend the rest of his life with xem, but always felt anxious of being too close. Xe was assigned important duties in the Clan and as much as he wanted to, the two couldn't talk as much anymore.
As Fallowstar chased him out of CypressClan, he always worried about Dovefrost. Xe eventually found out where he stayed and visited, but had eventually stopped. Respecting xyr decision, he never interacted when he saw Dovefrost, never understanding xyr true reason as to why xe left.
