The bastard son of Strix Direnni, one of the younger daughters of the Direnni Clan, and an unnamed Breton lordling, Arilion Direnni was never supposed to be involved in the affairs of the Isle of Balfiera. However, his section of the family, headed by the powerful Tyto Direnni, was known for powerful mages, and Tyto, regardless of the scandal, wanted Arilion to live up to those standards. So, Arilion underwent the usual rites of passage as any other Direnni Altmer, though his magic proved a bit... unpredictable at the start. The accident that occurred killed his older cousin, something that Tyto has never let him forget—even if his mother tries to assure him that it was an accident, that he was not a monster. After turning twenty, Arilion left Balfiera to assist with the Aldmeri Dominion and the Alliances' wish for peace talks, taking him to High Isle—a land dripping with a part of his culture that he has never gotten to see until now.
