She got tricked by a creepy dude with a pointy nose once, and now she can only get true sustenance by eating explosives. She can eat other things of course, they just don't.... do anything for her messed up body. She is now employed by the military as a "bomb defuser," after an incident in which she ate a volatile explosive during an attempted bus attack.
