Basra

Doc Genesis is a bit of a quieter villain. He tends to face off with the famed Hermes - though he is hardly the hero's arch-nemesis. While his motives are unclear, Dr. Genesis' goal remains relatively the same every time he cooks up trouble: he is bent on creating sentient artificial life. The 'life' part he's got down pat. The 'sentient'.... not so much. Classed as a mad scientist, the Doctor is begrudgingly allowed to continue his work between the occasional outbreak of mutant beasts from his lab. He isn't mad all the time.

Unbeknownst to the public, Basra is just a tired, albeit mildly crazed, dad. Having lost both his wife and his young daughter, his quest for life is partially a manic desire for family and fulfillment of a promise to his little girl.
