Brief Synopsis: Vaughn operates what may be the very last mechanist’s shop on earth, in the middle of nowhere, and it’s his pride and joy. He is quick to explain that he is not, in fact, a “mechanic”, considering he can fix just about anything. Some of his favorite machines to work on include old wind-up toys, music players of all types, and anything else frivolous. He can rarely get his hands on nice things to tinker with; despite his immense talent, he is generally not trustworthy in appearance. Vaughn is lanky and covered in scars, with an awkward gait and visible nervous tendencies. His specialty is technically engines, but anything with mechanical parts is well within his wheelhouse. Vaughn, in a nutshell, is an easily pleased hopeless romantic who has somehow managed to bloom in a world where, for most individuals, there is nothing worth flowering for.
