One of the Endless, younger than Desire and Despair but older than Destruction and Delirium
Deception takes on two forms, prefering the female form Apate, although interchanges as they like. Their sigil is a mask, one half white and one half red. Their domain is an infinite shifting labyrinth, with the throne room at the center.
They are closest to their older sibling desire. They aren't popular among their siblings, thanks to the large numbers of tricks they play on them and the human race
They have also been known to employ clay statues as helpers in some of their schemes.

GamblerVery skilled at gambling, enjoys all card and dice games. Played a part in the development of gambling houses in the human realm.
Because of this trait, they have been compared to Lucifer, although they have no relation.
PersuasionApate and Dolos both are able to persuade people, although they do it in different ways. Apate takes on a softer form, luring people in with kind words and promises
Dolos prefers to charm people with promises of wealth and fortune, only to con them out of something they did not intend to give.
Deception was born when the first living being lied. They are the personification of lies and deceit.
They are considered to be evil, however they only exist to fulfil the fuction that Humans and living beings have put upon them.
They are very close with their older sibling Desire and regularly play tricks on their siblings together with Despair. Desire is one of the very few who does not see them as evil.

- Sometimes, Apate and Dolos combine forms. They have only done this infront of Despair and Desire, the two people they are most comfortable around, and when they were born they were one
- Their domain the labyrinth was constructed by Dolos
- Their signifying animal is a cuckoo
- Those who are desperate enough can enter the labyrinth. If they successfully find the center it is rumoured that Apate and Dolos will reward the successful person. No one has ever succeeded.
