ABOUT
Doom Comet is one of the Comet parents. He is a cleanup animation artist for the TV network Seedling on a modern kids show. He's worked in the past on storyboarding and BG paint as well for other shows on the network. He went to an art school in 6024 and got a BFA in animation before he started working on things officially a few years later.
Doom is a supportive father to his children and a good person to talk to about serious things, similar to Uni, but at the same time he's extremely insecure and doubts his ability to be a good parent a lot (and doubts being a good person in general) for... reasons. They don't let their insecurities get in the way of supporting their kids, though, and they don't let these insecurities show, aside from occasionally opening up a bit to Marco just because he's the oldest and it's easier for him to understand (but Marco doesn't know... everything).
Doom is very affectionate and adoring of his family and loved ones. He's really close with Marco and Cream in particular - Marco being very level-headed and on a similar emotional wavelength as him - and being a huge role model and inspiration to Cream who looks up to him more than anyone else in the whole world. She thinks he's the coolest dad ever. However, his attention isn't unfairly divided and he does spend time with all his kids.
TRAITS
Insecure
Doom has insecurities worse than anyone and an extremely low opinion of himself and never feels like he's doing enough or trying hard enough. He feels like he doesn't really deserve anything he has and didn't do anything to earn any of it. He gets extreme euphoria whenever he receives the tiniest bit of positive attention (especially just... hearing people say nice things about him) because for a long time he was starved of it.
Unforgetting
Doom never forgets anything. For years, his memory has become practically photographic and he has extremely vivid and clear recollections of events and you can never tell him something went different than it actually did because he'd know.
Clingy
Doom is really clingy and doesn't like being alone or away from the people he loves. He doesn't like spending time by himself or even sleeping alone because he gets scared when by himself.

SIGNIFICANT LINKS
Marco understands Doom on a heavy emotional level, and Doom tries hard to be the support Marco needs because he understands his son is having a rough time in the position he's in family-wise. Marco feels a lot of respect for his dad, and Doom never wants to do anything to lose that respect.
