Alice's Links
Honestly? Alice would like to be pals with Jared. He’s prickly, but that’s still Cora's brother! And it's kinda funny when he immediately runs for a rematch - demanding something about "testing his strength". Sorry, but she's not going easy on you! Although, Jared is one of the few people to see through her, it feels like. Understands that she's not truly safe to be around, that she shouldn't be trusted. Even now, she fears that there is something quietly tucked in the back of her mind, and all it'd take would be one slip up! One whisper, that she can't control to cause some serious, serious damage. She doesn't want to do something like that. But she wouldn't- *doesn't* have a choice in the matter.
Hostile simply on the basis of Alice being very.. very close to Cora. His usual attempts to ward off any potential suspicious advances is stopped only on the fact that Alice tends to win by disarming Jared before he can do much. But behind childish motive lies a deeper hesitation towards Alice. After all, how is he supposed to trust her if she can't even trust herself? If Alice were to do anything... He- ... he could never forgive himself.
Alice's mentor! Although Gaia is rather cold, she has led Alice to becoming one of the Academy's best!
A suitable testing ground. Alice has already exceeded initial expectations with her responsiveness to the program. But she's still a work in progress. Maybe we'll root out the weakness in emotion with this one. See what truly lies beyond the limitations of humanity... and eradicate anyone who would impede on heaven's vision.
A cutie! There’s few in the Academy that’s around Alice’s age, but Cora’s one of the exceptions. Of course, there’s training and all that, but she never was interested in it as she was lounging away or wrapping Cora up in her latest antics. There was just something about Cora that makes her want to go to the ends of the heavens with her if she'd be given the chance. But. She can’t have both, can she? And it… was Cora’s choice. She can’t take that away. They both had everything to lose in staying, in leaving. Maybe fate will be kinder to them both next time. One can only hope.
A fellow student. One of the few her age, Alice was always...fascinating to Cora. She could easily wipe the floor with Cora, even without their epithets in the picture, a wall Cora could bash her head against again and again- hone her edges- and yet...
And yet that wasn't the thing that drew Cora in. it should've been- they were both training to be the best- to serve their people, but Alice always found time to... goof off. To dream about places beyond the stormy borders of the city, to go on adventures, to wonder what they could... make. together.
But she went too far. to imply. to imply CORALINE. would leave her people, leave her COUNTRY? to betray the trust put in her? No- she wont have it- she wont HEAR it!
(Its funny, how the people she loves always seem to leave her behind.)
… Alice didn’t know how to feel about this, at first. With what she saw in her file - knowing that SHE knew - she panicked. Ran. But the Academy’s all she’s known. Being a tool is all she knows. Thinking she could escape that simply by leaving- of course it’s not that easy. *She* made sure of that. Alice got a taste of that first hand, in the chance of catching a glance at a half-familiar face. A voice in her head drowned out the rest, and something inside flipped. Yet, despite her nature, Alice was allowed to stay. Odin’s. Weird like that. So she promises she won’t hurt him again! … not willingly, at least. For now, she’ll cling to the thread of hope that her fate is hers to decide. That, and try to avoid running into more walls...
Another victim of the academies gnashing teeth. The way Alice's head has been tinkered with makes his stomach turn. No, no the least he can do is offer her a place to heal. even with the danger she poses to him, their goal was always to help people. always was, always will be. Besides, if shes willing, her epithet could be helpful. but... only if she wants. he'll leave the choice in her hands. For now, they adjust, settle.
