   About

We are located in Nahontia, a world like ours, but where humans have never come to exist, and where dragons are common.
In Nahontia, dragons are the intelligent species, the predators par excellence, and there isn't any animal that overcomes them.
However, to maintain balance, there are Guardians: powerful and long-lived dragons who are responsible for the peace and co-existence of the world.
There are 7 Guardians: the oldest of them, Reldden, reaching almost 1000 years; And the youngest, Sivanne: a 122-year-old dragon who was promoted after the death of a Guardian. The other dragons are younger, live about 80 years in a quiet life. They're grouped into clans, and among all the members of a clan, they choose an Alpha, which will be the contact between the common dragons and the Guardians.
In this society, there are some rules: each clan has its lands, and the Alpha of both clans have to communicate if one clan wants to fly over another's land.
Dragons are peaceful creatures in general, since among one of the most important laws of Nahontia is murder's prohibition: A dragon can't kill another dragon, or it will be banished from the clan by the Guardians, exiled from the society, condemned to live without clan, and normally, to die alone.
There are some exceptions: very hurt or very old dragons that ask for death, but as nobody wants to stain their blood claws, they usually run away from their clan and consider themselves lost and dead.

   Latest Events

An Alpha dragon called Therrakar, from Strass, a rather small clan, broke the rules and killed another clan's Alpha. The dragons of that clan, scared and not knowing what to do, began to flee, and were one by one almost all exterminated by the dragons of Strass.
Some, before being killed, surrendered to Therrakar and joined his clan, although when they joined, they were marked on their faces, to know that they were defectors.
The Guardians, upon learning of this, sent Sivanne as a proof for his incorporation, to solve this riot, since she could spare those few dragons.
Although it wasn't so: Sivanne didn't die, but was injured by Therrakar. She returned to the Guardians, with her defeat on her back, and this scared the other clans: Therrakar and his clan of exiles, were stronger than they seemed to be.

   Guardians

The 7 longest-living dragons that are responsible of maintaining balance in the world.
They are also generally larger and more powerful than other dragons.
Dragons with these characteristics can occupy the vacant places that some Guardian has left by death or disappearance.
The newest are sent to resolve conflicts to prove their worth.

   Clans

Scattered throughout Nahontia, the dragons are grouped into clans of different sizes.
The members of a clan decide an Alpha to lead the clan, and protect them from possible threats. They also serve as contact with the guardians.
These groups don't have to be consanguineous: a son of a dragon can decide to join another clan, even if it's not their family's, if both Alphas allow it.
Although within a clan there may be differences, violence is rarely reached.

   Exiled

These dragons have broken the rules that govern Nahontia.
They are destined to live apart from any clan, observed by the Guardians, and to live and die in loneliness.
If they try to break the rules again, or form a clan of exiles, they are persecuted and killed by the Guardians.
