Chervil is a very cocky, grim and pessimistic cat. He’s not too popular around the colony due to his off-putting attitude and prefers to only mingle with those who are like himself rather than those he views as ‘below him’. He’s not afraid of violence and has an intense hatred for foxes. Chervil thinks he knows better than others and is angry when he can't control situations- or more so, has no authority to do so.

Backstory

Born alongside his sibling Mallad, his life with his parents was cut very short when foxes attacked and tore apart his mom and dad right in front of him. The cats were forced to run and find a new home with little survivors. This event was huge in how it changed Chervil into who he is today- instead of the grief and sadness eat away at him like it did to his brother, Chervil let that grief fester into anger and aggression.

He can't understand why Vallish chose Rustix over him to lead when he trained and worked so hard growing up for just that- wanting nothing more than to lead the cats into battle and rid the land of those monsters who killed their families. Although, his aggressive and awful attitude IS especially why Vallish didn't choose him- she seeing it as a massive red flag. Whatever the reason, its caused a rift between the deputy and fighter.
