Star Bishop, also known by her Trollian handle occultistHarpy, is the only human among the Meteorbound cast. Raised entirely on an ectobiological lab hurtling through space on a meteor, Star has never met another being before her crash landing. She has developed an affinity for the occult, something she displays a knack for even before she believes in the existence of magic. The Harpy part of her handle derives from, presumably, a response to the first contact she had with the trolls. Her main symbol is a pink telescope, though she also swaps it out for other magical designs once she has access to a wider wardrobe.

"Star" is not only named such as a nod to her surroundings of deep space for the majority of her life and introduction, but also for the use of stars in navigation and divination, both of which play heavily into her use of pseudo-magic and make-believe-astrology - both of which tend to produce positive results.
Her surname, "Bishop", is in part a reference to the clerical position of an individual within a religion who holds authority and a position of governing those beneath them, playing into the role of leader she falls into in their session and afterwards. It is also in part taken from the chess piece of the same name, as bishops sit on either side of the king and queen and are considered higher-value pieces when compared to pawns. This reflects her own role as server player to the planet's current heir, Harzor Usnome, and her ongoing tendency to follow them into dangerous situations with the intention to protect them - not out of care, but out of desire to win the game.
While the circumstances that placed her there date back before her conscious memory, Star has spent her entire life on a meteor in outer space, hurtling endlessly towards her eventual destination of the planet Intermius. For the first few years of her life, she had only her guardian, the First Guardian of her home planet, for company. By sheer coincidence one day she found a disc containing the program Trollian, and from there established her first connection with the first person she'd ever met - benignGuitarist, Khetai Kamves.
Socialized entirely by young trolls, Star is entirely "OUT OF THE LOOP" when it comes to human culture. While the ectobiological lab offered some human media, the majority she has consumed comes pirated from her troll friends. Over ten years, she gradually collected a group of relatively tight-knit friends (and rivals) that she would eventually play the game with. She serves as Tuksis Izzain's server player, and is brought into the game herself by Amkoga Vriani when her own server player, Khetai, fails to wake up in time after being put to sleep by Gathek Avroma.
Star is the first player to go God Tier. Cutting contact with her friends while struggling to adapt to face-to-face interactions, she seeks out rival Harzor and follows through with their plan, unaware it will lead to her death and subsequent ascension. Fully embracing her role as the session's Witch of Rage, Star is quick to use the other players' anger and frustration to motivate them to sharpen their own skills in preparation for the fight against the Black King. During this, she falls into a comfortable understanding with Tuksis, who has himself been coming to terms with the end of his own isolated lifestyle. The two balance each other's shortcomings and ensure their final boss battle is successful. After the Black King's defeat, she reforges her friendship with Khetai while maintaining a connection with Harzor and Tuksis. The three of them take charge of their new planet's forming governmental system, ensuring that it won't be half as cruel to its citizens as Intermius was.
As a Rage player, Star is incredibly lively, energetic, and prone to hotheaded outbursts. Well aware of this, she often removes herself from a frustrating situation instead of allowing her temper to get the best of her. When that need for space isn't respected, she's prone to lashing out in anger or intentionally causing emotional harm to whomever overstepped her boundaries. Despite her temper, she isn't quick to rise to bait when insulted or mocked, and instead often uses the outrage of those around her or even her aggressor to her advantage - such as when she incites an all-out brawl in defense of a complete stranger in the face of what she deems injustice.
Passionate about everything she engages with, once Star crash-lands and has the option to absorb herself into a new culture she takes the opportunity readily. Even for some of her friends' stranger hobbies or interests, she is incredibly enthusiastic for new experiences and the significance of sharing them with friends. She incorporates some of Norcos' clown religion into her own view of magic, and later tells Fincih "IT ISN'T BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN IT. IT'S BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN HER." This easy acceptance of anything shared with her played a significant part in the formation of their friend group, especially when it came to befriending the more secluded and less social members, namely Tuksis and Gathek.
Khetai Kamves
TBA. Childhood best friends who didn't manage to stay as close after meeting in person and growing closer to other people.
Fincih Permum
TBA. One of Star's moirails, her second oldest friend. They bonded over wizard roleplay and Fincih was the first to express any sort of sympathy for Star's isolating situation. Fincih is very even-tempered and balances Star out very well.
Norcos Lazrio
TBA. Star's other moirail and Fincih's matesprit. Norcos and Star likewise bonded very young over roleplay, and Norcos was delighted to have someone show genuine interest in her hobbies instead of being put off by it. Both of them are incredibly high-energy and prone to outrage, but they've worked out a system where they take turns being angry and/or violent so the other can reel them back in.
Harzor Usnome
TBA. Star's oldest rival, and someone she spent most of her life loathing. Harzor pre-game was antagonistic and egotistical, and Star would often get in fights about nothing at all with them. Once they calmed down a bit when removed from their environment and put face-to-face with others, the two became reluctant and antagonistic partners in ensuring the game was completed properly. Their friendship is just as full of arguments as their rivalry was. Not much has changed.
- Star is the only character who doesn't have origins in a Farragofiction game. Instead, Star is a fusion of two adopts design-wise (both by DeepSeaHorror!) who I wanted to use in place of a mutantblood in the traditional 12-troll lineup!
- Star's lusus Loki was originally a fox, and later became a weasel because he was more fun to draw that way.
- Her signature colour was light yellow, but the text didn't show up well on MSPFA.
