The basic idea for them is, that they are part of a music company's band but due to the shades of business the particular company has with the drug market, they aren't exactly treating Clint and their fellow band members all too well.

Before Clint's corruption, they and a lot of the other musicians were pumped with feel good substances (a reference to the song feel good Inc since that's the song they're based on) to perform exceptionally well.

It did go on for a long time and when Clint was finally the first to notice something was off, their producer shoved acid pills down their throat to make sure they don't ever lose a word about it.

And because Clint was so full of other substances already, they didn't immediately die when the acid dissolved their abdomen and destroyed their vocal chords, but corrupted instead.

They still perform and everything because Clints adores the fans and making music, plus has made aquaintences with other musicians working for the company.

In fact due to their looks, they even became one of the fans' favorites and take their time to take photos with those people after concerts (which is pretty much the only case of them genuinely smiling since the incident). They're still subjected to the feel good substances as well but even when somewhat sober every now and then, a lot of the fans and aquainted musicians can vouch for Clint being the sweetest guy they know.
