About...
Resides in a humid-subtropical climate in which the summers are hot, but the winters can also bring snowfall. The tropical beach is not always their main location, but they do spend time on more of a rock or pebble beach with access to the sea in which they enjoy hunting for their fish and eel meals. Large severe outcroppings of rocks dot the shoreline. The forest is in close reach to provide some shelter or a place of solitude. Bright colored fish exist in dive-spots of the sea where this Hoshibuki's colors can come into play with hiding and blending in!
Fishing with a pole and hook can be for lazy days. But most of the time, it is more satisfying to dive in for a fish and get it themselves. They liken to the thrill of a hunt, and can turn the act of fishing even into a hunt. Using bamboo and bones, perhaps a spear is fashioned and used in the act, as the ancient method of spear fishing brings quite a rush. Speaking of diving, this Hoshibuki also probably allows themself to feel the rush of cliff-diving for fun, as the landscape allows. For the community, they bring the gift of driftwood which is expertly carved and whittled into bowls and useful things. But also crafts of decorations of fish and the likenesses of sea creatures. You can see they like to be alone with the time-consuming process.
