As a filly, Nyx was a gifted flyer. Always delivering messages for others and helping out around her small village. Though she was always so busy, it also loved to stay up during the night. Her infatuation with the moon and the stars had her up for hours, even writing to Princess Luna, who she had only seen in photographs. The alicorn was fond of the young fillie's observations and discoveries, and took it under her wing. After years of researching and learning from the princess, Nyx completed something never thought possible by anypony. It had used magic. Upon said action, she had finally gained its cutie mark. Years later, Princess Luna granted Nyx a horn, transforming her into an alicorn.
