(her story takes place around the beginning of RE2(original)'s events! just so you know where this fits into everything! If you're not up to speed with the game, it takes place in the year 1998 in Raccoon city where a zombie outbreak suddenly happens!)
An undercover woman, determined to figure out how the whole zombie outbreak happened. She'd been tipped off at the mansion incident, and immediately went undercover at the source to try and sniff out anything resembling an answer. She's currently pretending to be an Umbrella "researcher" hoping to get better insider information than she'd already had before. She doesn't actually know anything about virology, or just biochemisty in general, so she's just kinda faking it until she makes it. Luckily, she's like a sponge, and is pretty easily able to remember all the words to say to make it seems like she knows anything at all.(By pretending to be the secretary there) That doesn't get her a lot of info, but it does get her a bit closer to the source. She does manage to get close to one of the researchers there that she thinks is really cute. She frequently tries and fails really shitty attempts to flirt with her on their off time. Ruthie is witty and sharp minded- she knows what to say and how to say it to get her way. She has a very sarcastic and cynical streak, and does like to just focus on her work more than anything. Once the outbreak actually happens, she's pretty much free to explore the whole premisis after everyone's evacuated. It might cost her life, but if she can get the scoop of the century, she doesn't really mind at all. She just wants to be remembered.
