On a family outing, an unexpected gunman shot through the crowd, killing some and injuring others. A random act of violence. His father was one of the victims, and his mother did not take the situation well at all- consumed by guilt and hatred, it was the start of physical abuse. She would often blame her children, but targeted Underling the most for being 'too optimistic.'
