Profile

[WIP] this is my jojosona but i Purposefully made them more bratty and snobby than i actually act IRL, i promise XD i guess they are a representation of the pretentious artist that lives somewhere inside me...

  • Name: Mix Zappa (The “Mix” is actually a “Mx.”, but it just functions as a first name)
  • Pronouns: they/them
  • Age: 22
  • Height: 5’2”
  • Personality: cutesy and charming at first glance, but if crossed, can get very snotty and become a rude know-it-all.
  • Hobbies/Interests: fashion, art, art history
  • Stand: FloriDada, a semi-humanistic psychic projection in a cubist style. It is as flimsy as a sheet of paper, it’s almost impossible to see from a profile point of view. It’s main power is to turn people into famous works of art, though never quite perfect, since it relies on Mix Zappa’s memory of the work. The stand has to physically touch its victim in order to enact this power, and in an always-cartoony puff of white smoke, the victim is immobilized in the painting or sculpture that Mix Zappa and FloriDada see fit. FloriDada is more of a defensive stand than an offensive one; since Mix Zappa can trap their victim with their power for as long as they see fit, it’s primarily good for escaping or preventing attacks from particularly offensive opponents. Once Mix is far away enough, the effects of the stand wear off completely & suddenly. FloriDada, unlike many other stands, can speak, but only in fragments from the 1918 Dada poem “Dada Manifesto” by Hugo Ball. Mix Zappa always responds as if they understand; they don’t understand the words, but they can understand their stand’s meanings or feelings, most of the time, anyways.

Origins

  • For most of their life, Mix Zappa was a very misunderstood artist, in a very dramatic fashion. They became a shut-in to work aggressively on their paintings and research into art history. They decided to enter an art contest, and the huge painting that they painted was a picture of FloriDada, the stand who hadn’t yet developed in them. However, the art contest was a huge failure. The judges tore apart the painting with their criticism, and this led Zappa to fall into insanity, their mental state hitting rock bottom in that moment. FloriDada, the stand, suddenly emerged from the painting, laying its long, cubist fingers on each judge in the flash of a second. Each judge fell to the ground, all of them having transformed into small, rock statues of monkeys that Zappa had recently seen in a museum of art not long ago. That was the day Mix Zappa and FloriDada became friends, and decided that humanity needed to become more educated on what GOOD ART looks like – even if by force!
