NAME Buoyar
PRONOUNS He/him
AGE 12000 moons
GENDER Neptunian
ORIENTATION Aroace
RANK Primordial God
THEME Ruthlessness

Buoyar is the god of many things, but mostly aquatic life. He manages the ocean's health, the sea creatures' delicate balances, and the moon's gravitational pull. Although mostly uninsterested in mortals, Buyoar does enjoy seeing all the new creations those cats make out of his gifts. He especially likes the vast seafood dishes and sea crafts. He picked his name after the funny little floating objects called buoys were invented.

Despite being a god and essentially, immortal, Buoyar enjoys lounging on his private island, swimming with sharks, and watching nudibranchs cannabalize and make new subspecies.

PERSONALITY

Buoyar is quite different from his Greek and Roman inspirations, Posiedon and Neptune, in many ways than one. For starters, he's more arrogant and laid back, but he does have a trigger button. If you manage to say something, or indicate anything that rubs him the wrong way...Well, you'll be kicking starfish out of your house for months...Definitely don't mention anything about oil spills...

Another difference is the way Buoyar's romantic life contrasts to the other gods'. He's never really been interested in romance, or having kittens with anyone else. For the most part, he's a loner who enjoys bragging about his abilities, and being overall very arrogant and above other cats. But this doesn't mean he doesn't care, even sometimes. If mortals specifically call out to him, Buoyar helps in any way he can.

Creation

Buoyar's creation is just as majestic as he is. It started in space, when a lonely space deity decided to make a friend. They sculpted a very small celestial body out of ice, iron, aquamarine, and other unknown materials. Magically inhancing it with special water, they accidentally set off an explosion that not only animated it, but also sent the orb hurtling towards an uninhabited planet. Once crashing there and making a huge crater, the comet cracked down the middle, and out popped a teal cat, newly formed and ready for destruction!

As this newly born god grew in power and expertise, he figured out how to create life, a gift from his own creator. Buoyar, who chose his name after buoys were invented, birthed sea slugs and sea stars, sharks and whales, fish and sea serpents. At first, the entire world was covered in glorious reefs and trenches, drenched in crystal-clear water. But then another god came to be. Just as Buoyar did his part, this new god did their part. They made the land; continents started as sand bars, and grew into massive chunks of rock. As time progressed, more and more deities fell upon or were created on this planet, and they each brought a special gift.

Place Among the Gods

Since he constrasts greatly with the other gods, Buoyar tends to stay away from the Pit of the Obsidian Tiger and keeps to himself. The other gods focus on politics, which doesn't interest the sea god at all, but if something big happens, he's quick to jump back into the action and back up any of his fellow gods.

Bachilles Mortal He Helped Once

Buoyar helped this guy one time and he sorta remembers him?? Not really. Morganus told the sea god to help him, so Buoyar never really had any actual interest in him prior to that. :T
