Carnifex
Carnifex is a hitman and bodyguard for hire. He is a cold, heartless person who is willing to take on just about any job, no matter how dangerous it is for him. He is absolutely willing to kill anyone, provided he is paid a sufficient amount. Having lived a rough life on the run from the law, Carnifex is no stranger to working in the dark.
Since he was young, Carnifex had been treated...poorly, to put it simply. His father taught him valuable lessons in fighting, and introduced him to the gang he was in throughout his lifetime. From the gang members, Carnifex was taught everything he needed to know in order to survive, from how to address others, when to look at who, which streets to walk on. Being in the wrong place or saying the wrong thing (which he often did because he had attitude) got him into plenty of fights along the way. He was used to always watching his back, never trusting anyone aside from his parents, and to always win a fight.

To keep it short and sweet, Carnifex is a major asshole. He makes it known he is willing to hurt people if it means he can advance in life. He never had an issue with pissing someone off, nor did he ever mind literally hurting them.
However, he is not an outright sociopath, as he does feel some empathy for those who are struggling to get themselves into better situations. If he felt someone really needed assistance, he would offer to help them, but would go about doing so in (most likely) unethical means.
For the most part though, this low empathy is saved mainly for animals, not people. He views animals as innocent, and will go out of his way to nurse injured strays back to health.
History
Childhood
Carnifex grew up in a rough neighborhood, ridden with high crime rates and no one to trust. His parents were often away from home, though his mother did her best to take care of him when she was around. She mysteriously disappeared when he was around 8 years old, and his father was involved with gangs. Due to their gang involvement, Carnifex suspected a rival member had taken and killed his mother to get back at their family. Though they had no wealth, they had many enemies, and as such were constantly on the run from the law and others. Carnifex ran away at the age of 14, striving for a better life for himself. He learned to live on his own, and often got his hands bloody and was on the run. As he grew older, Carnifexβs involvement with gangs continued, and he rose in his ranking. Soon, he (literally) fought his way out of the neighborhood and town, and made a name for himself working in the business of hitmen. By 18, he had begun taking assassination jobs, as well as intel gathering and eventually, bodyguarding. He has been doing this work since. Since his work takes him around the world, Carnifex also has no permanent living space.
Memories
Carnifex holds many memories as βlessonsβ heβs learned throughout his early life. One memory was the night he learned his mother had disappeared, when he first began to despise his father and despise the life he was living through. He believed his father hadnβt done enough to protect her, and believed he failed as a son. As he grew older, Carnifex fought within his own gang, and rival gangs. Each scar served as a memory and a lesson, each one reminding him he needed to do better if he was to get out of the conditions he was born into.
Goals
His primary goal is to uncover what happened to his mother, and find if she is still alive.

Design Info
- Shirt is a bit torn at the sleeves, clothes usually are stained with old blood that he gave up on washing out.
- 'x' shaped scar on his left breast
- Few large scars along the upper arms, body has multiple, smaller scratches.
Extra Design Notes
Since Carnifex frequently gets himself into fights, he often has a more roughed up, sometimes scruffy look. He gets many small scratches and scars, and has a few large scars from cuts he's received in fights. His arms have full sleeves of tattoos, and his upper left shoulder has a serpent tattoo that spans across the top of his breast. At his waist is a second, larger serpent, one that spans around his back and around to his chest.
In addition, Carnifex wears some chains around the the shoulders, as well as a silver wallet chain. The wallet chain contains a small heart and star chain, gifted to him by Ali. His favorite rifle also has decorative charms on its end, gifted by Ali, too.

Carnifex received a call from a mysterious woman, who asked him to play the role as Ali's guard. However, he was given the additional task of also uncovering information about her past. As things turned out, Ali discovered he was looking into her past, and 'fired' him. Some time later, however, and the two ended up working together to uncover Ali's unanswered questions about a particular laboratory. (There is a lot more to them but I'm lazy lol).
Acid
????
Acid is a character who came from Ali's past- seeming to be an "experiment" of some kind with incredible strength. As his name implies, this "experiment" can withstand acid, and seems to be almost an older brother to Ali.
"Morana"
"Friend"
Morana was an old "friend" of Carnifex, one he knew in his earlier teenage years. The two of them made a deal with one another to leave the violent city they were growing up in. When Carnifex finds that she had intended to backstab him and leave him in the city for dead, he instead ditches her first and escapes on his own. Years later, Morana is hunting him down to seek her revenge.
