Uni

Uni was orphaned at a young age and has grown with little recollection of his parents. He always remembered his name, remembered that his father was strong, and that his mother had the sweetest voice and gave the best hugs. He was carried by the tides to one of the many underwater kingdoms of the ocean, where he struggled to get by for a couple years by carefully collecting and selling sea anemones. One day he unknowingly approached the queen and her ladies in waiting, and she was quite charmed by him and took him home with her. While the intention was for him to be given an education and title as a future advisor to the prince, who was close to his age, the head servant took it upon himself to instead designate Uni as the prince's personal servant instead and hid what was happening from the queen for a good few years before he was found out...but not before he'd declared Uni useless and thrown him back to the tides.

Not wanting to stay where he wasn't wanted, and at least feeling more confident in his ability to survive having osmosed a lot from being present for the prince's lessons, Uni swam off into the night not to be seen again for quite sometime. He eventually found himself on land and among people who appreciate his kind and soft spoken nature, as well as his resourcefulness. His father eventually finds him as well, but that's another story...
