- Because he feels like he was denied death, death and dying fascinate him endlessly.
- He loves trying new, weird foods - the weirder, the better.
- He likes to decorate his room like a funeral, with candles and lilies on his bedside by his coffin.
- Because of his poor health when he was turned into a vampire, he still struggles with chronic symptoms, including a pneumonic cough, numbness in his fingers and toes, and sore joints.
Eccentric, affectionate, patient, and deeply melancholic, Os is a complicated and mutable person. He easily gets lost in his own thoughts and is prone to bouts of severe depression and existential panic, as he struggles with the morality of his existence as a vampire, worrying that his existence is unnatural and inherently evil, and as his immortality continues, he falls further and further from any hope of salvation. Over the years, however, he's taught himself to be able to focus on life's little pleasures, and with the help of his husband and friends, he is learning to accept his existence beyond the concepts of damnation and salvation, and on the whole is a fairly relaxed person. He's easy to get along with, goes with the flow, is unobtrusive, and easily bonds with new people, though he keeps much of himself guarded and can be socially nervous. Despite his penchant for solitude and privacy, he easily feels lonely, and while usually he is more than happy to spend his time alone, working on his car or his radio, reading, or listening to music, too much time alone will send him into a paranoid, depressive spiral. He craves comfort, security, and (though he's shy to admit it) luxury, and he is very attached to his daily routines. He appreciates honesty, directness, and those who don't sugarcoat or use too many euphemisms when talking about hard subjects like illness and death.
