Once a highly-trained and skilled special units soldier for the Federated Union of Alleria, Champion became disgraced when he was grievously wounded by Tine Lumes during the battle for Alleville. The worst loss in recent history, Alleville fell to Passane - and Champion fled, riddled with shame and guilt for his inability to protect the city. He subsisted off of wild hunt and misery until Hawthrone, a travelling merchant, found him and invited him to join their caravan.
Initially reluctant to join, he discovered the presence of a foreigner - Vyvnne from Lacraya - and pledged to protect them from Bivve's horrors, terrified at the idea of a civilian unaffiliated with Bivve being injured or killed. Vyvnne's interest in recording Allerian history only further endeared Champion to him.
Champion isn't his real name, but he only goes by Champion (don't call him Champ or something stupid like that.)
