Eric is a self-proclaimed “magician” who clings to hope, even after losing his parents to soul sickness. Always a believer of the heroes of the past and the magic in the air, he entertains his sick little sister, Joy, with sleight-of-hand tricks during visits to the orphanage where he was forced to leave her, unable to care for her on his own. Desperate to gain her back, Eric uses his “magic” to steal from other cats, tricking them out of food and supplies.
