 Personality
"What can I say? I’m the type of boy that’s allergic to boredom.”
Ceres can't be happy if he’s following the rules. He hates requirements. He can't stand the standard. Impetuous and whimsical to the highest degree, Ceres leaps from one goal to the next, smoking all of his pipe dreams down to the bitter filter and switching them out with a new pack on a weekly basis. Despite how disloyal Ceres is to most of his dreams, he keeps faithful to one; the dream of being the lead singer of a punk-rock screamo band. Other than that one anchor goal, though, Ceres is reliably unreliable, and although his sporadic tendencies can add some spice to a slow day, they are just as capable of harm. The same spontaneity this gives him his “breath of fresh air” reputation also leaves him horribly undependable. If someone has immediate needs or if they’ve made plans with no wiggle room, Ceres, if involved, is bound by nature to interfere.

Because Ceres refuses to inflexibly prescribe to a single objective, he will often add or subtract elements from an endeavor, leaving projects unfinished and requirements unfulfilled. He cuts corners and suffers for it. But on the rare occasion that his choices are optimal and things work out for the best, he takes it as proof that his approach is just as good, if not better, than the standard. Otherwise, though, Ceres is realistic about his strengths and weaknesses and isn't one to brag of qualities he doesn't possess.

On a good day Ceres will use his peculiarities to enliven the dull parts of a day. In seconds he can find the best part of any particular moment and bring it to life for his friends and himself. But on a bad day, Ceres’ devil-may-care side takes a noticeably morbid turn, and although he isn't violent he can be slightly offputting when he's not at his best.

Appearance
"Nothing wrong with wanting to look your best.”

Ceres strives to keep his appearance fresh and stunning at all times. Prone to frequent renovates, he’s always experimenting with his wardrobe and makeup, introducing new elements to keep things new and exciting. Despite all the changes he makes, there are, however, a handful of staple elements that Ceres could never do away with, one of them being his beloved ash blonde tresses. His choppy fringe is crowned by twin buns, loose and messy. Any hair not pulled into these buns spills down his shoulders and spins themselves into tight coils that rest near his clearcut collarbone.

His eyes are framed by stunning lashes, and his pupils are pinpricks on a full crescent backdrop of misty green. A bowed nose tips upward just above an ample set of lips that are often done up in peach gloss, and his blush is applied to perfection.

Ceres, while once ashamed of his body and bullied for his features, now tries to flaunt every aspect of it with pomp and pride. He often shows off his full hips in shorts, skinny jeans, or skirts, he showcases his plush thighs in stockings and tall socks, and more than half of the time he'll wear a low-cut top that reveals his shoulders. But while Ceres is much more comfortable in his body now than he was when he was younger, he still hasn't completely overcome his self-consciousness over his puffy chest, which is caused by grade one gynecomastia. From time to time, on particularly hard days, he will wear a binder to smooth out his features, but his carefree demeanor nowadays often allows him to go without.

Backstory
"If it doesn't kill you, it will probably make you weirder.”
Ceres believed that a nomadic lifestyle was the norm until he was about four years old, and it wasn't until even later that he realized the purpose behind his family's frequent relocation.

His father worked as an embalmer, and his mother as a funeral director. Together they would set up funeral homes, tend to their duties for a short time, then move their business elsewhere. Ceres, while at the time oblivious to their reasoning, was not oblivious to the fact that changing towns routinely made it difficult to keep long-term friends. To compensate for his ever-changing environment, he learned to quickly make friends and to take joy in new experiences; a skill that would persist into his adulthood.

It wasn't until Ceres turned eleven that he learned of his parents' questionable for motives moving. Having recently developed many banshee-specific traits at this age--namely the ability to sense when and where people would die--he realized that his parents were staking out areas with high death potential, moving there, and staying until business thinned. Revolted by this discovery, Ceres swore off his own death-sensing abilities and vowed to never use them again. In a similar trend Ceres also began to use all of his species-specific abilities in unconventional ways, such as taking up screamo as a healthy alternative for typical banshee vocalization.

Not only did Ceres' relationship with his parents become shaky at this time, but he also began to notice a difference in his treatment at school. Now that Ceres was getting older his gynecomastia began to present itself more prominently, and he was often mocked for it among piers. He was also mocked for his long hair, which he had always taken pride in until this point. To avoid being tormented Ceres began to wear multiple layers of clothes to hide his body. He also cut his hair against his parents' wishes (the keeping of virgin tresses were a valued banshee tradition) in not just a show of rebellion, but also in desperation and in hopes that the bullying would end. Almost until he was eighteen, Ceres spent his life finding creative, if not harmful, ways to evade cruelty and harassment from his classmates.
