Zdzislaw is hard at work day in and out, maintaining his kingdom's delicate boundaries and ecosystem. He accomplishes this by conducting elaborate trade firsthand and through underlings. He is famed for being a revolutionary and sort of "messiah" within the Ashen. Life is hard in the wastes of the exiled land, so the Capital, Loumourn, acts as both an oasis and as good a place as any to live. Many who need his services range from veteran travellers, to desperate, down on their luck and dying individuals or nobels alike. Zdz has an incredible eye for truth, and liars, cheats, and scammers don't make it for very long once a bargain is made.

History

Zdz began life in the Northern province of Saventviet in Maynôr. The invasion left him and his people displaced. Like many within his community, he and his mother were pushed forcefully into the Ashen by Arganian influence. Many within his community perished or were subject to other torments within the Ashen. Among the remaining few of his people, his mother and he found themselves in what would become Loumourn. It took much of his adult life to establish his legacy, and he has only recently begun to reap the rewards of twenty years of sacrifice. Due partly to ill health, his mother would not see this new life Zdz promised his fellow Maynôrers, which had a profound effect on him.

Since the death of many of the ones he held dear to him, he took up the study of alchemy and more taboo magical practices that are less restricted in the Ashen, behind closed doors. With a newfound drive to change his fate and find answers for those still left around him that he cares for while maintaining a royal status and the powers and risks that come with that, Zdz is a formidable force in his own right.

Through his research and trading, he came across many folks, like Jessie, Raja, and Sasha, that he would continue to employ and cherish for their unique skill sets to obtain a further stepping stone in his work. Zdz is incredibly driven but will not hesitate to seem generous and gift-giving to acquire the last few materials he needs.

Present

Having reached somewhat of a standstill in his endeavours, Zdzs has temporarily retired due in part to declining health until he can resume when his assisting partners get a breakthrough. He has never lost his ambitions, but his sick body makes him weary and time-cautious.

Much of his time is spent in his home's lower areas, entertaining and seeing clients, indulging in life more while he can.

It's only when a masked stranger with a strange name and even more bizarre, although similar, ambitions and a matching lust for knowledge and skills that Zdz springs back into the fight to grasp the opportunity to fulfil his dream finally.
