 | Barley Lune From the Harvest Moon Barley is a small eastern dragon that is linked with the Harvest Moon. It serves as a protector for farmers, hunters, and plants. Barley only becomes visible to the human eye during a harvest moon, but it's not a frightening thing, Barley is only about as big as a pinkie finger and is not ferocious. As a protector, it's Barley's natural instinct to protect the crops before, during, and after the harvest moon. Barley does its work all year long, but they're only just visible during the harvest moon. Protecting will include using its night sky fire breath to turn pests into minerals for the plants. This mostly includes bugs such as Aphids, but it will occasionally turn a coyote into a pile of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and boron. |  |
 | Blood Moon Hunters moon The Harvest moon has many names, this also includes the blood moon. During a total lunar eclipse, this will affect Barley in a way like no other. It's one of those right places, right times. As the Lunar eclipse has to happen at the exact place Barley is at, which can take 300 years or more. This has only happened a handful of times, especially compared to Barley's every year harvest moon, but during an extremely rare blood moon faze Barley will turn into a hunter for just one rare night. It's once night sky flames will become a cloudy blood red, and instead of minerals, it will turn pests into a different type of plant food, which is rotting material. And Barley sees everything as a "pest" in this stage. Barley is also a tad bigger when it turns a blood moon, about as big as a forearm. Its eyes will be grey and dripping blood. |  |
 | Trivia Barley's favorite person is Friendly, and Friendly sees Barley as a wonderful pet. Friendly can see Barley any time of the year, however, Friendly must stay away during an eclipse. When Friendly and Barley are together, an eclipse chance goes from 300 years to 2 years. So while it's very cute for Friendly to have a little yellow dragon for a pet, it's unknowingly dangerous. Barley's favorite plant to take care of is the barley plant. Which just so happens to be my personal favorite soup add-on. Barley has no gender and no parts, it has no need for reproduction as it is immortal. Barley does not like wild dogs or coyotes, it will turn these into minerals the second it catches up to one. However, while a pest, it has a soft spot for beautiful foxes. |  |
