Born in a family torn apart by controversy, Maroon wanted nothing to do with the royal family when she was born. Queen Red, her mother, took the throne by force after marrying Prince Adonis and compeletely turned the system on its head. Everyone in the family hated each other, and Red's narcissism was not helping the situation what so ever. Let alone her sister Imperial was set on becoming queen. With her wits and determination Maroon knew it was only a matter of time until she took the throne for herself.

So instead, Maroon took after her father who was a strategist for the Silkwing Army. From the moment she was born she wanted to be in the military that way she could still provide for her kingdom, and to also get the fuck away from these selfish dragons. It wasn't until a ball was held in the capital that she ended up meeting her first love, and eventual king, Pinewhite. A rich Silkwing who was very high in status because of his mother, Lady Spring and Earl Elfin. They ruled over a very prosperous town near the Hive Kingdom's border that excelled in a certain type of trad, and in turn were quite rich. They had gotten so close (Or likely the family was so trusted) that Maroon and her siblings were sent there for long visits when their parents were too busy to take care of them, often spending weeks if not months there at a time. They honestly were just best friends for a while, and it actually was Pinewhite who had asked Maroon if they wanted to go out with them, gaining courage from Lady Spring who had encouraged him (Both because of improved social status, and also because she wasn't THAT bad of a mom. She wasn't blind to their obvious chemistry they had.)

And during Maroon's time in the military, Pinewhite would always send letters to Maroon whenever she was off in the military, and they were truly in love. A beautiful example of a soldier in love with someone back home, and Maroon always looked forward to his letters, even if he was way too much of a dork. And eventually, one night when she came home, he proposed, and soon after that they had their first Egg, Duke Karner, or at the time Prince Karner.

However, the peace didn't last long. After some tense moments between the border, Imperial decided to finally take action and kill Queen Red, taking the throne for herself.

Tensions only began to rise further, Imperial set on expanding borders and take more land for themselves, likely even stealing what little land the Leafwings had left as well. She only had the throne for 5 years. And during those 5 years, Maroon was a head general, fighting the fights that Imperial egged on. Sooner or later, it would end up in an all out war.

So Maroon killed her sister, taking the throne for herself.

The rest is history. Maroon had many eggs with her late husband, and her first heiress Jasper was slain at Maroon's hand. Unfortunately, she wasn't the last as well, as Maroon has killed 7 challengers in her years of being queen, the final one scarring her face. Her old age is dragging her down, and after Pinewhite's eventual death due to illness, she ended up remarrying a few years after that. She only has 3 heirs left, and she isn't getting any older. She knows that she'll die soon, and soon seems to be only in a matter of months due to the war. Maybe even weeks.
