Snapperstep

snapperkit was born a few moons from the end of dry-leaf to his mother sleetnose and his father minnowclaw alongside his brother drizzlekit and his sister perchkit. snapperkit led a rather uninteresting kithood, growing alongside his siblings and spending time with his parents. his mother did her best to shield him and her other two children from the horrid goings-ons of the clan until she couldn't anymore. she wanted them to have a relatively normal kithood.

as an apprentice, snapperpaw was only two moons into his apprenticeship when the horrid storm hit his clan, claiming their deputy and countless others. his sister was among those claimed, perchpaw unable to fight against the waves and being claimed by the sea. the loss of his sister made his mother retreat into herself and his father grow distant from his remaining children. snapperpaw found himself finding comfort in talking to his brother about how they felt, and the two grew incredibly close in their shared grieving process. the two would try to help pull their mother out of her depression but it would be of no use, and the two sought fun and good times elsewhere to help mitigate the sadness they felt.

as a warrior, snapperstep was given his warrior name alongside his brother drizzlesplash with his mother watching. his father was nowhere to be seen, further driving a wedge into their already estranged relationship. two moons after this ceremony the infectious disease ran rampant in the clans, and he was able to avoid it for the most part but his mother was not as lucky. she survived, but not without lingering issues. he celebrated the lasting peace that finally fell over the clans, but it would all come to a halt with the fire in the shrublands and drypine forest. his brother was on patrol and had gotten trapped by the fire but ultimately made it out relatively unscathed save for some breathing issues and a persistent cough from smoke inhalation. snapperstep had been in the camp at that time so he was safe from the flames.

+ goofy   snapperstep tends to be quite the funny guy, cracked jokes and trying to make people smile when things are especially hard or when others are down in the dumps.
+ affable   he tends to be a very approachable and easy to talk to, trying his best to be warm and pleasant to all those he speaks to, or vice versa.
+ easygoing   snapperstep is quite relaxed and easy to get along with, even when others may be less than easy to get along with.
| routine-minded   snapperstep is very routine-minded, and opts to go about his day the same way that he does every day. his warrior priorities may be different every day but the way he does them every day never changes.
| unruffled   he tends to not let things bother him, and tends to let things like petty arguments roll off like water off a duck's back as time goes on.
- impulsive   snapperstep can be very impulsive at times and this can get him into trouble.
- reckless   this paired with the fact that he is impulsive can cause a bit of a ruckus at times. he will often charge into things headlong without thinking of the lasting consequences.
- rowdy   snapperstep can get very rowdy at times, often taking playfighting a little too far and overstepping some boundaries. he doesn't mean to of course, but it happens often due to the way he was raised by his mother as an apprentice.
