Ichika was born and raised in the octarian army. Starting off as a power egg distributor, she consistently worked as much as she could so she could hopefully work next to Marina. Ichika was heavily inspired by Marina and always loved the creativity and power she had. Ichika worked hard climbing rank after rank soon entering the urchin creation and disruption unit. Ichika found she enjoyed herself in this unit and was beginning to feel real excitement when working.
She worked day after day creating stronger armour, better weapons, bigger specials but soon it all became the same old thing every single day. Ichika began to long to create things she really loved with a real passion and no longer wanted to support the wars and hate between the octarians and inklings with her creations.
One night when working late she was listening to the radio for updates on Marina, who had gone missing, hoping to hear of her return when suddenly a song began blasting around her room from the radio. She jumped back, falling off her chair and covering her ears. Reaching for the radio she switched it off but thoughts of leaving the army began sprouting in her mind. She began to long to see the sky more than she ever had.
Fearing what was happening to her, Ichika went down to one of the levels with some special cans to distribute, hoping to get her mind off the situation. While placing down the cans she spotted an Inkling running through the level. She began freaking out thinking she was going to get attacked. Scrambling to grab her bag she was met with a splatling to her face. Dropping everything she lifted her hands looking the inkling dead in the eye. With the splatling charging up she believed this was the end and couldn’t bother fighting him since she didn’t have a weapon with her.
