Jo is what her big brother lovingly calls “passionate.” The parents of other children tend to think of her more as a scourge on the playground, constantly getting into fights and constantly winning. She wouldn’t need to shove other kids into puddles if they weren’t mean, though.

Her size and strength make her the de facto shield for Nate and Hubie, who are able to see through the aggression for the warm and creative person she is. Violent, but also warm and creative.
