Lefty’s mom disappeared when she was really little, she’s been raised by her dad. She does not dwell on this too much.

Her dad wrote for Epi ta proso (Going Forward), an anarchist newspaper, for several years when she was around 10-13. He’s also illustrated and written several small collaborative socialist pamphlets over the years. Aside from this, he is a musician and often made money by performing with a small band in restaurants.

When Lefty was 20(?) they moved to america after her father had been briefly arrested for disturbing the peace and could no longer get work, musically speaking. He chose america because he believed he had something to show them (socialism)

Both Lefty and her father have always been somewhat eccentric, and Lefty got into music too, as she got older. Her father insisted on sending her to college, which she wasn’t super into but she met some cool people there (american socialists) who she occasionally hangs out with still.

She’s always been interested in marching band on account of really liking the uniforms and how cool they all look doing their big synchronized marches, and eventually decided to try joining up with one. After a few misses, she figured out the elite tactic of pretending to be a boy so they’ll actually hire her. Now she has jobs consistently, yay!

A few months ago she saw a flier for the circus and went to see it, she was enthralled by their quirked up swag and the concept of wizards, and applied to join their band. It worked but she is not in the union, she did not know there was a union
