Adam Was Raised By his parents just east of Lexington Massachusetts. One Quiet October Morning in the year 2077, Adam was collecting firewood out behind his house. Adam turned around and saw a very bright orange light falling from the sky in the distance. As the light disappeared behind a line of forest, seconds later Adam felt the ground shift, as if something had shaken it. His ears perked up as he heard the sound of people yelling and running in one direction. He was so confused, but as his eyes glanced back to the line of trees, his ears pinned back as he saw a huge wave of what seemed to be clouds, but the clouds had completely burned the forests and cities behind it. Adams mouth hung open as he stood frozen in fear. His parents were screaming and barricading the house, Adam looked back to the cloud of destruction and noticed it was only about 250 feet away from him. He snapped out of fear and looked to his left and saw a big hollow log laying on the ground slightly in a ditch next to him. Without thinking, Adam jumped into the log and put his paws over his head, clenching his teeth. Seconds later he felt the huge wave sweep over him, the tremendous heat from the wave was almost too much to bear, and Adam fainted from the heat and not being able to breath due to the smoke and debris. When he awoke, He realized he couldn't see out of his right eye. The smoke and debris had blinded him in that eye. Adam struggled to stand up, but when he did he yelped out in pain and grabbed his tail, the sight of it made him feel sick. All the fur had been burned off and he had painful 3rd degree burns on it, and that it was speckled with small beads of blood. He felt this same pain on his left ear, his front left leg, the area around his now blind eye, and his back right heel, however they weren't as bad as the burn on his tail. As he struggled to stand up, Adam saw a old roll of bandages on the ground behind him. He sat down and picked up the bandages, slowly uncoiling them and wrapping them around his tail and flinching at the pain as he touched the sensitive area. Tears built up in his eyes and rolled down his cheeks from the pain. After his tail was wrapped up, Adam stood to his feel and looked at the world around him. What he saw made his heart ache. His once loved home had turned into a scorched, grey, lifeless dessert, with the remains of dead trees and burned houses scatted every which way. Adam grew a bit dizzy and held his paw to his nose. When he pulled his paw away his fur was stained with a think crimson liquid, blood. he noticed the same from his mouth, he was bleeding from both places, yet he felt no pain, so he just brushed it off and looked around some more. He decided to go into what was left of his house and try to find some help. Adam pushed the door open and it fell off its hinges, hitting the scorched ground with a clank. Laying on the floor was a sight that made Adam so sick and almost passed out again. His parents, burned and bone exposed, lay in front of his eyes. Tears filled his eyes again as he backed up and fell down the front stairs. Breathing heavy, Adam scrambled to his feet and ran as far away from his house as possible.
