Kassir considers himself to be a riot! He is a true showman and entertainer--one with a dark side, but ultimately with an aim to bring merriment to others. Some call Kassir overly self-involved, but the truth is that Kassir really does care for others. Seeing people enjoy themselves and laugh brings warmth to the cockles of his unbeating heart! Kassir did not have an easy start to life--or unlife, as it were. Born of a circus sideshow attraction and a mummy, he had to contend with an unsympathetic (and, at times, pitchfork-wielding) world for most of his existence. Eventually, however, Kassir was able to relocate to Des Moines, where he found a wonderfully creepy mansion to serve his needs. Currently, Kassir works as the much beloved host of a "creature feature" type television show--he has at last arrived!
Jack is a boarder at Kassir's mansion, and thus the two are roommates. He may appear to be frighteningly serious at first, but Jack has a funny side as well, which endeared him to Kassir when they first met. Jack feels fortunate to be able to stay in Kassir's home, and the two generally get along (although Jack does get frustrated by Kassir's overuse of puns at times!). Kassir, in turn, considers Jack to be one of his closest "fiends."
Killstar also boards at Kassir's mansion, having appeared out of the blue with no explanation on a dark and stormy night. In fact, she does a lot of things with no explanation, often coming and going at odd hours, in addition to getting up to all kinds of hijinks! Kassir is finding himself falling for Killstar--he finds her endlessly intriguing. For her part, Killstar rather enjoys revving Kassir up, but her true motivations remain to be seen.
Nikki is another of Kassir's boarders at the mansion. She came to him shortly after waking up one day and realizing that she was dead, which came as quite a surprise to her! Kassir thus felt sympathy for Nikki, and did everything he could to help her feel comfortable. Ever resilient, Nikki has settled nicely into her new existence, embracing her ghost-ness, and will sometimes even guest star on Kassir's show!
