Born to the Maki family, Koi was disowned the moment her base ink picked its first colour. Considered unworthy from birth, Koi has always had issues with her apperance. She tried her best to go into modelling but found that even her own family brand wasn't interested in having her. Koi would be moved to live with Nori around 14. She attempted to join turf wars behind her family's back but Nori would accidentally rat her out after seeing her on tv.
Koi thought life was rather dull. She didn't want to live under her cousin's control. In the end she would run away from Inkopolis and start making a name for herself in Splatsville. Under the name Coral, Koi would upload her own music to a hidden page. Coral was a popular outgoing idol. Everything that Koi wanted to be. People loved Coral. And Koi loved being loved...
Koi would eventually reach out to a free agent, Sirene, and hire her to help form her first team. Koi wanted to make a name for herself. Rise the ranks to X and be something worthy of the Maki name.
Koi currently works in Team Queers, being the weakest player at Rank C-. She often has to bribe the teams way into tournments with this gap in their ranks. She struggles with her self image and well...has negative confidence...
She highly idolizes one of her own teammates eventually developing a crush on Sirene as well. Koi does her best to supress these feelings pouring her feelings into her new albums and pretending that she's fine with being less than perfect.
