Otherworld Yo-kai (Japanese: 異世界妖怪 Isekai Youkai) are Yo-kai that originally came from other dimensions. Most became Yo-kai thanks to Miraworld abducting them, but other methods of entering the Yo-kai Watch dimension are possible.

Otherworld Medals are purple with hints of dark blue, and sparkle when the light hits them. The artwork on these Medals is done in an abstract style, and the name tags have the appearance of fluffy clouds. The usual squares that contain directional arrow and Yo-kai tribe symbol are triangular. 'Merican Otherworld Medals appear almost identical, but are red with hints of white and blue instead. Which models of the Yo-kai Watch they work with can wildly vary, and seems to depend on which time period the individual Otherworld Yo-kai was sent to.

Otherworld Arks are light purple with hints of blue. While the art for the Yo-kai's Lightside appear in the same style as any other Yo-kai's, the Shadowside art has the Yo-kai's silhouette coloured in a wide array of colours, mimicking a portal. Onechanside Otherworld Arks have the Yo-kai's regular form appear in the same style as any other Yo-kai's, while the Onechanside art displays the Yo-kai's silhouette facing a portal.

Meta stuff

I came up with Otherworld Yo-kai as a classification for Yo-kai forms for OCs that come from different sources, whether original or pre-existing, then added a bit of lore to it. Feel free to make Otherworld Yo-kai of your own! It would feel incredibly weird to gatekeep that, seeing as this is fan-made for a franchise. For that reason, please don't refer to this as an open species either.
