Marcia Inkov grew up in a small place on the outskirts of inkopolis with her parents. Her dad was always spending time with her and trying to be supportive however he could. Their family specialised in making special weapons as a living and lived a peaceful life for a while. Marcy loved tinkering with any and all machines she could get her hands on, and showed a promising future of continuing her family's business.

However one day, her father died in a accident when testing a new prototype. Shortly after, the special weapons their family made had been effectively banned by the new regulations from the government. This devastated Marcy and her mother, and Marcy's mother had to scramble to find a new profession to make ends meet. For a while both of them had to do gruelling work at Grizzco for absurd hours just to be able to put food on the table. During all this time Marcy had still been tinkering with machines, and her proficency became more and more promising.. and one shift at Grizzco she recieved a weapon that changed her life.

After being to just barely make it through and graduate highschool, Marcy and their mother moved to splatsville to work at Grizzco full time. By the time they had graduated, Marcy had grown very distant from their mother since their mother would work during the time Marcy was at school, and Marcy would work as soon as they got off school. This rift between them only grew as they had to work harder and harder. Eventually, Marcy was injured during a salmon run shift, and was unable to work for many months. They tried doing turf wars and ranked battles to earn some cash, but failed due to their lack of experince. Marcy ended up falling into a deep cycle of self loathing as they blamed themself for the accident and for everything. They fought with their mother quite often and so they only became more and more distant. However during this time, Marcy was working on a prototype for a modified clash blaster to help them get the edge they would need to win battles.

Eventually, after toiling away for some weeks, she finished the prototype. It was a clash blaster modified to have hooks that could shoot from it that could pierce through a enemy and splat them instantly, on top of the clash blaster's already powerful blasts and rapid fire rate. Marcy went into a turf war battle (under her now famous alias IHO-IKA) and absolutley dominated. She kept this up and was bringing in tons of cash for her and her mother. At first, her mother was really proud of her for being able to make so much cash, but eventually, she discovered the truth. She confronted Marcy and in the heat of the moment Marcy fired the weapon at her, badly injuring her mother. She rushed her mother to the hospital where she was able to survive, however lost a eye. In her guilt, Marcy ran away from home, never to return.

After running away from home, Marcy used the last of her cash to buy a tiny apartment in splatsville. However at this point, those in the black market had taken notice of her weapon and it's potential. Eventually marcy decided in order to draw attention away from her, she would produce more of her modified clash blasters on the black market, under the name IHO-IKA. Soon, Splatsville began to rapidly gentrify and she got more and more orders. She began to take on custom orders, making all kinds of different modifications for different weapons, and even some for her old place of work, Grizzco. IHO-IKA quickly grew to become a juggernaut in the black market and even began to compete with the legal weapon trade. As the attention on IHO-IKA grew, the authorities took notice, and so Marcy became increasingly more secretive, and grew distant from the few friends she had made in her normal life. However one day, she met with a certain customer..
