magnus

magnus is a wererabbit who hunts ghosts, cryptids, and aliens in the pacific northwest! he's able to transform into his were form at will, but always transforms on the night of the full moon.

magnus is adventurous, excitable, gregarious, and out-going - he's a big go-getter and always seems to be moving. he's very passionate about his work and believes whole-heartedly in ghosts, cryptids, and aliens... he's generally fond of all things odd or unknown. he's also eccentric and likes to do things his own way. naturally witty, clever, and mischievous, he's good at sneaking around and doesn't mind taking risks, but often ends up in over his head.

when transformed into his were form, magnus is much more instinct-driven and wild. were-magnus's favorite hobbies are going to tailgate parties and running through the woods. he's also more reckless in this form (though enhanced strength and endurance somewhat make up for it).

magnus often receives strange, unexplainable dreams, and has a history of lucid dreaming. he thinks this is very cool, even if it unnerves him at times.

he owns a cool van and travels in it more often than not, though it's not his permanent home. he keeps his work equipment (and some bedding) in the back. when working, he takes in-depth notes of everything, and has a stash of worn-out field journals. he also collects natural items like shed antlers, pinecones, and cool leaves - the weirder the better!

• his anatomy is inspired largely by hares! please keep this in mind when drawing him.
• hair can be fluffy or slicked back.
• top scars aren't optional, but are covered by thick fur when he's in were form.
• can be depicted digitigrade (animalistic legs and walking on toes), pseudo-plantigrade (animalistic legs and walking on heels), or plantigrade (humanoid legs).
• pupils can be black or white.
• magnus has summer and winter coats! he molts early in spring and late in fall.
• can be drawn with small injuries from being outside (scuffed knees, bruises, etc).
• usually stands at 5'7". when transformed, he's 5'10".
• he can be depicted in the worlds of media like resident evil: village, mystery flesh pit national park, over the garden wall, stranger things, phasmophobia, the magnus archives, and more.

• smells like spiced pumpkin, cloves, autumn leaves, and fir needles.
• his voice claim is somewhere between greg katz (cheekface) and clem turner.
• he never wears a shirt when in were form.
• he's autistic.
• he usually describes his work using the term "oddology", something he coined himself. when in formal settings, though, he may use the term "arcanology" instead.
• he strongly prefers the wilderness to developed areas and can't stand being in cities.
• he's a sucker for good movies! he has a soft spot for horror media, especially when it has sci-fi themes or schlocky gore. he's also drawn to analog horror, arg content, and short scary games.
