"Ah... There you are!" I pulled it out of his chest, a couple of veins and nerves following it. Cutting them off would be enough. I had what I wanted, now the next step was to replicate.
"Where am I?" The soul shakily asks, it sounds scared, confused, and oh how it made me smile! It was working, it was alive, it would stay alive even outside its body.
"You're in my lab. Don't worry, you're not dead."
"I'm not? But... Where is my body then? Should I not be reincarnating?"
"Oh you should, I'm trying to prevent that."
It stays quiet, fine by me. I cut the nerves and veins off of it and move the stone to my table. I just need to figure out how he works, I just need to sacrifice one more soul, just one more person.
