- Since she's part shark, she has a small nub of a tail and a some ridges on her back that would be a fin. They aren't fully developed so she usually just hides them.
About
Born in the southern countryside in a small farm town called Pikesfield, Sonny grew up on a farm with her parents and two half-brothers. There wasn't much to do out in the countryside, so Sonny spent his time helping his dad on the farm, reading books from his brother Aster, and listening to CDs he'd sneak from her brother Dani's room.
Inkopolis and the Squidbeak Splatoon
When Sonny turned 18, with encouragement from Aster, they moved to Inkopolis and attended university, studying biology and history. Marie was the first person she met after moving, and she recruited Sonny into the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Sonny went along with it pretty easily, if only cause it was a pretty girl talking to her. He found himself to be quite good at the whole agent thing, as it was a good way to release energy after being stuck in class. It took Sonny about 2 and a half months to rescue Callie.
Grizzco and Splatsville
After rescuing Callie, it didn't seem like Marie had much more agent work for Sonny aside from patrols. Sonny ends up starting work at Grizzco, and finds herself enjoying it. She learns to both drive a boat and pilot a helicopter as the company needed people to transfer workers to and from run sites.
5 years later, after the incident in Alterna, Grizzco is taken control by a new boss and a lot of the company gets rearranged. Sonny ends up getting transfered to the Splatsville branch as they needed more pilots. After moving, they begin to get more work and becomes pretty high ranked within the company.

Aster [ brother ]
The two grew up together and are rather close. Aster is the one that encouraged Sonny to pursue university and helped grow her interest in learning. Sonny misses him a lot, since he's always travelling. Aster got Sonny her phone so the two could stay in contact on his travels.
Dani [ brother ]
Dani was always distant and never interacted much with Sonny. But once he moved out, they kept some of his CDs he left behind. Sonny does feel some kind of connection to Dani through the music she kept, but wishes they could've gotten to know each other more.
Iris [ like siblings ]
Sonny was intimidated by Iris at first, but once they got to know each other the two became like dumb siblings. Sonny likes to mess around with Iris a lot. Iris is also the go to when Sonny has problems he's gotta sort out.
Echo [ roommate, best friend ]
Sonny helped Echo find her footing in Inkopolis. Sonny would help Echo with Inklish and in return Echo would help Sonny learn Octarian. The two are close friends and will always stick their neck out to support each other.
