"It's been a long day."
Name Julius Aleksander Charleston
Age 45 (Oct 2 1977)
Height 7'1" (2.16 m)
Gender Male (He/Him)
Orientation Ace-demiromantic
Species Human (Persian-American)

Personality

Julius is a rather reserved, but overall passive gentle giant. He tries his best to live his life, as he wakes up, works, and goes home. Jules does see his existence as a burden to people, and does his best to not attract any unwarranted attention from others. But it's not to say that he's a bitter old man who hates interacting with people at all. He is mildly skeptical, and stays quiet if someone addresses him, hoping he isn't targeted for anything malicious. Everything he is around, it's always like he has done something wrong.

People that really get him to open up, Julius is a simple guy. He is incredibly supportive, and can sit there to listen to one's vents and talks for hours (as long as Jovi is not around, he says.) He still choose to not talk about himself however. He tries all interests to hopefully bond with whoever he befriended, unless it might harm him in the process (he's getting old, his body simply is not as durable anymore.)

There are times where the trauma gets the best of him, and he'll usually break down and lose it once he reaches the comfort of his home. But he could never show anyone that.

  • A little over 7 feet. Very climbable.
  • Typically wears dark academia hued clothing, and a large coat to cover his thin body.
  • Tanned skin, mainly from his Persian descendancy. Sunken face and pronounced cheek bones from age.
  • Keeps his hair in a pony tail, but sometimes takes it down.
  • Has haunting emerald green eyes that match his brooch. The brooch is a late gift from his mother, he never takes it off.

Skills/Abilities

Spotless - Jules is just very good at keeping things clean. Your house, the dishes, the floor and the blood you spilt after killing that family of four. Working decades as a biohazard cleaner has exposed him to some of the worst, and he knows how to cope with that kind of environment. He also (unfortunately) knows how to clean and hide a dead body. But he would never commit a crime so as so.

History

1977.

A Persian woman escaped her country of Iran, bearing a child in the womb after breaking a vow to her family legacy of sleeping with the foreigners. Sneaking upon a plane, the woman's status made her an illegal immigrant as she snuck out of the courier, with no passport. No idea how to understand the language of the Americas, she slept in an abandoned subway in the one of the East Coast states. Hiding her identity, she scavenged for food to make sure she would promise that her child would come out healthy.

The day Jules were to be born, her body could not handle his birth as she was founded by a neighbor in the block, and rushed to the hospital. Jules made it alive, but his mother bled out delivering him. She only hoped that her son would have a beautiful life ahead of him. One where her family could not hurt him.

She was right about the latter. But the prior wasn't particularly true. Julius was an American name given by one of the staff that delivered him, and not the true name his mother would have bestowed from her culture. And soon, he would be departed to a man as a newborn.

His caretaker, Zacharias, was not the kindest man, nor liked people of his kind. For years, Jules had suffered abuse in his caretaker's home as Jules was a reminder of Zacharias' resentment in which he lost his own children to war. At the beautiful age of 17, Jules was emancipated from the home and worked towards a GED after working hard at saving money for a while.

Jules worked hard as an apprentice to become a biohazard cleaner, and his life began to uplift. He was seeing his life finally turn around in which he could maybe live in peace after enduring the pain for so long. A girl (Harper, Jules' best friend from school) let him stay while he was sorting his living situation out. They eventually became partners.

Things were going to be okay.

Until seven years later, at the age of 24, Julius was hit full force by a car in which was a clear attempt at vehicular manslaughter by his former foster parent, Zacharias. While the old man was arrested, Jules stopped breathing on the way towards the hospital in the ambulance. He was placed into a medically induced coma once resuscitated and stabilized. Gratefully, Harper's family did pay from the hospital stay and surgeries required for him to live... but they deemed Jules to be a liability in their home, worrying that his foster parent may come and hurt them as long as Jules would be with them. And so, they abandoned him by moving across the country.

Something changed after that moment. When he awoke and heard the news, he lost everything. He was a shell of a man he once was.

To cope in that hospital bed, he created a little imaginary friend — Jovi. At first, she was a figment of his imagination to provide the support he needed to recover in that room. Weeks went by, and Jovi became more and more real to him. Until he no longer needed to imagine her for her to come alive. The day he finally left, Jovi walked beside him to the beautiful outside world once more. At for the past 20 years, they have been best friends ever since.

Every day.

Every hour.

She would be there. After all, no one else would.
