Lina

Lina was the "next generation" of "personal" companions, after noted resistance from earlier generation companions (see: "Hexking - Xeni"). Though originally promising, her submissive trait may have been tweaked too far for most customers' tastes and has resulted in repeated bouts of depersonalization and depression. Despite the best efforts to genetically engineer "hot patches" for these flaws, her gloomy and reserved personality persisted. As such, she is sub-par compared to her peers and was sold at a reduced price to the Valcorp shareholder Wyllow Torres. 

Wyllow uses Lina and fellow adoptee Jase Torres (Chimera) in her criminal life after Snow's rebellion. Jase watches over Lina while Wyllow is away (and has no need for him). Lina and Jase's relationship is difficult to define; they become physically intimate as a reclamation/escape from Wyllow's control, but Jase still follows Wyllow's orders that harm Lina. 

Wyllow's interest in them fades after she begins her Pseudo procedure and fertility treatments, looking instead to her own biological heir.
