Self-confident, passionate, and extremely capable, Obsidiankit won’t let his retinal atrophy define him. He is passionate, with an insatiable drive for exploring what the territories have to offer him. With his passion and self-confidence, behind this wobbly frame is an immensely capable cat.

Obsidiankit will a be fiercely independent tom. Boy, he’s going to maneuver on his own, and *you’re going to like it, Mom and Dad!* Even with ataxia making maneuvering a difficult endeavor, his grit and determination will make anything happen that he wants. Besides this “wild side,” Obsidiankit will join a small, but mighty family of Foxclan warriors, giving love as much as he can receive. He’s going to show the world the best of what his happy family and Foxclan has to offer.

The spotted tabby has a heart of gold, but he is extremely physical in the way he shows his affection. He is known to have possessive tendencies over his dearest companions, feeling their presence with touch instead of sight. Because of his strong faith in Starclan, he believes that his blindness was a curse from his ancestors. He will work hard to overcome this curse, but not without a dose of cynical furor.

What an unfortunate time to be brought into this chaotic world… and to parents who were not emotionally ready for another litter. Obsidiankit and Jasperkit will be two of three kits in a litter, their third - a sister, never even able to take her first breath. A few moons prior to their birth, the parents lost their only daughter, Malachitestorm, to a brute named Slater who had been terrorizing Emeraldfire since she was 12 moons old. The stillborn kit looked identical to their older sister. This will only stir up terrible emotions for the parents: guilt, protectiveness, sadness…

Emeraldfire and Blackthistle had both been experiencing the second phase of whatever illness was plaguing the clans when one of their clanmates succumbed to it. Blackthistle, Foxclan’s sub-deputy, will be forced to step up more than he already has to provide for the sick clan all while he is sick himself. Emeraldfire has her steely guard up with everyone apart from her family… and even then her emotion has been strained with Sunstonearch, Agatecharm, and mate. She harbors guilt for living while her Malachite was coldly murdered because of her. With Blackthistle tending to his duties, an ill Emeraldfire will have to muster up what she can to provide a safe life for her sons, who upon growing up will be at risk of the claws of Slater unless she puts an end to him first.
