Backstory: After separating from his pod to find new lands to settle upon, Eel stumbled upon the Valley and has now settled there temporarily to gather resources for further exploration. Due to his history of being the "runt" of his pod, he is more experienced in exploration and gathering as per his role within his pod, as he wasn't built for combat. The separation from his pod was his own decision, but he fears that his pod is searching for him with unknown intentions. He is named after his great, great grandfather, Moray Eel C. Atlantic.
Personality: Eel speaks formally and uses a lot of "big words" when speaking. He is rather uptight and forward, not afraid to make his demands known to others, however still tries his best to be kind. Due to his less intimidating appearance (compared to others of his species), it's easier for him to trade and barter with the locals for resources he wouldn't be able to obtain himself.
Other: In his pod, all merlings are named after other ocean creatures. Eel's full name comes from the family of eels known as Muraenidae (commonly known as Moray Eels), as his markings resemble those of the barred moray eel (Echidna polyzona). The merling he was named after had markings that resembled the giant moray eel (Gymnothorax javanicus).
